DIAGONAL TILE JOB...Well...back to the Vinyl Siding and Trex Deck house in Baker...

Well the rest of the house had a major face lift....new paint job....new vinyl siding....new metal roof...new Trex Deck............so now all that's left is the linoleum floor....

this is the Grand Finale'.....the one that makes the rest of the inside 'pop'. We called on Mike Porter to do the custom DIAGONAL TILE INSTALLATION (do NOT try this at home....this stunt is done by professionals.......!!!!)

so Mike made his marks...and commenced to prep and lay

this is the lonnnnnnnngggggggg hallway from the laundry room to the hall bathroom....Mike's task is to lay the floor 'diagonally' from one end to the other......with a STRAIGHT line...
No problem for the pro!

Mike's getting ready by pullin up the loose ends of the vinyl flooring....

and now he's started his lay....in the offset bathroom...now THAT takes confidence.....his line must come out straight down the middle of the kitchen hallway.....but this bathroom is offset into a corner...

but 'NO GUTS....NO GLORY'...and he heads down the hallway....

WOW! Right down the middle...good call Mike....

after this pic....Mike applied the grout and buffed the floors.....and then he added all the shoemoulding across all the tiled areas.....
Diagonal Tile...GREAT job Mike!

CLOSET CEILING REPAIRS...from old roof leak

This is plywood (luan) that was fastened to the Closet ceiling of a home in BlueWater Bay due to an old roof leak that 'deluged' thru the valley (don't you just hate those valleys..?) into the attic...and blew out the closet ceiling. They put the plywood up long ago to keep the Air and the 'critters' from coming in and out.....

this is the top side of the sheetrock that we removed once we removed the luan....you can see the mold damage on the manilla paper...

Chad cut back the sheetrock to a square configuragion..and put 'kickers' inbetween the joists and screwed the old sheetrock to them for a smooth seam....

then he put in the insulation in 'batts' with the vapor barrier built in....

and inserted the new sheetrock....

He then coated the door jamb and casing with a fresh coat of SemiGloss White ...

and sprayed a 'knockdown' or 'Spanish Lace' texture onto the ceiling to match the old pattern...
GREAT JOB Chad...!!!

The CUSTOM TREX DECKING PROJECT.....

Well, with all the vinyl siding done... we now move to the new French Doors in the Back...to build a custom 12' x 16' Trex-Deck....which should last as long as the house.... Boe sets' up his corners and starts his magic!
getting it all squared and aligned is difficult..but the pro's tackle it with ease...

The headers are carefully placed after the piers are set in concrete...

And the leveling process takes place...

we don't mess around with fasteners...we build them strong, and bolt the headers with Air Guns to the Piers....

David and Boe built the custom girder and joists from pressuretreated lumber after posts set up in concrete....

and built the custom mounting boxes for the Trex Posts....

and then began the magic of Deck Assembly with deck screws ... no nails....

I think you could drive up on this deck after they were done...super strong and long lasting...

and it's all coming together...highlighting their Vinyl Siding job...and new French Doors

Working the stair stringers...

and then putting on the Trex Treads with the posts in place...

and adding all the proper alignment

The Deck came out SUPER...and David then custom-built a free-standing Bench for them to enjoy on the deck...not easy with Trex Decking...

But the results are evident.....a weather-resistant custom deck....bring on the BBQ!

Total Vinyl Siding Project

It's a new day...and a new project to start.....we are going to take on this project to Totally Vinyl Side the entire house...including soffits, metal facia caps...and includes getting rid of all the woodrot before we start with the housewrap.......
The old masonite siding has seen better days....and instead of trying to restore/replace the siding...we will repair the wood...and go up with a whole new look.........Chris Q. will put on the new metal roof....and Mike P. will provide a new tiled floor...more pic's of that later....

the chimney wall with the adjacent windows will pose a problem...but we have the solution. Boe and David will do the vinyl from start to finish....and then build a custom TREX Deck on the back of the house....stay tuned for those photo's...it came out GREAT! We will also recreate the angular panels above the 2 windows by the chimney...

lot's of angles and turns....it will be a challenge....

Now it's time to move up the chimney front to finish up the front...
Boe 'quarterbacks' from the scaffolding, calling out the measurements to David...

and it all comes together...

Boe moves up the chimney to finish the front rise...

as we work up the gable peaks, we make sure the vinyl soffits and fascia-caps are good and tight....

and put the final pieces on the gable wall...

This is near the end of the vinyl siding project...this is the front right wall of the house....

and the left front wall of the house...

going up the fireplace...we just finished with the 'angular' panels above the window that the owner requested us to do.....for an accent.

THE VINYL SCALLOPED FENCE..308 linear ' of alignment

Well, the little Boston Terriers kept running into the woods...so it was time to provide a luxury-looking fence on this property...keeping in the quality with the new home the owners had just built 'on the pond'.....we set up the stakes...and got our plans and material lists together.......
and began to set the posts and deliver the materials in stages.....

the vinyl posts were set in concrete... 24" into the ground....

and the assembly began...manuvering the 8' 'scallops' over a sloping land was not easy...and the 2" below the bottom rail didn't give us room to 'trim' the bottom of the pickets and keep total top alignment...

we set panels in place...and then re-set them again and again for the proper look...

all in all the project took over 1 1/2 weeks because of the trial/error of making it look the best we could with the slopes......and then we built Double Gates (for the ltractor and lawn mower to go thru..) and a single gate overlooking the pond.....
